History
The New England Trailblazers Flyball team was formed in September
of 1999. Our first flyball tournament together was in November
of 1999. We hosted Vermont's First Flyball Tournament on May 19
& 20, 2001 (for information about this year's tournament visit
our tournament section). Our team members
are from Vermont, New Hampshire, and Massachusetts. In addition
to flyball, most of our members participate in a variety of other
dog sports including Agility, Obedience, and Herding.
The New England Trailblazers are: Jo-Anne
Dolle, Michelle Gorbutt,
Eileen Hoskin, Scott & Kathryn Stein
(team captains), Melissa Wilkinson, and
future boxloaders Noah Stein and
Hunter Daris.
Highlights
- The New England Trailblazers "A" team had their fastest time
of 15.45 seconds in Binbrook, Ontario in August 2007.
- Winners of the Region 13 Multibreed Championship in 2006.
- Winners of the Region 13 Regular Championship in 2006.
- Finished second at the World Cynosports Champsionship held in Scottsdale, Arizona on November 3-5, 2006.
- Three-time winners of the Region 13 'DOGS' award for "Dog-gone
Outstanding Good Sportsmanship".
