Michelle Gorbutt Home base: Clarksburg, MA
Dogs: Breeze, Tucker,
Yikes, Zing, and Grit
Michelle
started playing flyball in veterinary school as an outlet for
her All American, Tucker. She originally
joined New River Express in Blacksburg, Virginia, in 1996 and
quickly became addicted (as did Tucker). Together, they explored
many different dog activities during vet school including agility,
obedience and herding.
As all flyball participants eventually do, she added a second
dog to the family in 2000, Breeze.
She then began looking for a job that was in close proximity to
a flyball team!
In July of 2000, the three of them moved to eastern New York.
She then moved to Clarksburg, MA in hopes of having more time
to play flyball. She presently works as a veterinarian in a small
animal veterinary practice. She routinely treats dogs, cats, pocket
pets, reptiles and birds.
In her spare time, Michelle also plays agility and hikes in the
mountains.
With the addition of Yikes, a Borderjack
and Zing, a Malinois, her house has
become very busy indeed.
